Bellissimo Rosso
$230.00
Beautiful red violin. As all my instruments it’s made of European tone wood and adorn in carved ebony accents. It has an excellent Ebony fingerboard carved and scooped to perfection.
This violin has a bright voice with good volume. I generally use Helicore medium strings . I find they are a good middle of the road string and from there one can get an idea of which way they want to go when replacing strings, or stay with these. I have and do also use Dominants with great success.
This violin is finished in a red glaze with hand cut and buffed Italian oil varnish to a high gloss.
It comes with a new case, but no bow.

Jessee
$230.00I fell in love with building these 5 string violins. It’s still a regular violin with the exception of the added C string. They have a warm and somewhat focused tone with good volume.
The set up on the 5 string isn’t really a whole lot different from a 4 string, but there are some things you have to consider such as the weight on the belly due to an extra string and a little wider fingerboard, actually it’s not much wider than a 4 string violin, only 25mm at the nut .That being said, the strings have the same spacing at the nut and the bridge as a 4 string. The action is close to the fingerboard the full length, but high enough so there isn’t any buzz. Very forgiving to play, a real pleasure.
Finished in Italian varnish and cut and buffed to a high gloss. With the attention to detail I believe these 5 string fiddles are well worth the money.
Sylvia
$230.00The name Sylvia in Latin means ” spirit of the wood”. I believe the Sylvia violin is a beautiful spirit in voice and appearance, it’s a joy to play. Nice mellow tone and even across all strings with plenty of volume.
This violin starts it’s life as European maple and spruce. I buy my tone wood from International Violin and they handle only European woods. I use a top quality ebony fingerboard that’s carved to perfection with just the right amount of scoop. Pegs , chin rest and tail piece are also ebony,or sometimes rosewood or boxwood. The tail piece will be composite if it has built in fine tuners. Regardless of the appointments added be it ebony or something of a different species, it all works together to accentuate the aesthetics. I finish it with a burnt sugar ground coat topped with either a colored Italian oil varnish or a transparent artist paint as a glaze and then finished with oil clear gloss varnish. Then its hand rubbed all the way to 12,000 grit Micromesh sanding material. Then buffed and polished to a super high gloss.
The Sylvia is a wonderful violin if a intermediate violinist is looking to move up to a more professional instrument without paying several thousands more than what I charge for this violin.
So see if you’d like to combine your talent and passion for music with the “Spirit in the wood” the Sylvia.
Sylvia II
$230.00The Sylvia II is in most ways the same as the first Sylvia with the exception of color and figuring of the maple on the back and ribs. The back is quite beautiful with heavy flaming and a glossy mirror finish of Italian oil varnish.
I like to refer to Sylvia I and Sylvia II as my twin violins because they are so alike in so many ways. They both have a nice mellow tone with plenty of volume. Easy playing and forgiving.
So like the Sylvia I , express your love and passion of music with the “Spirit in the wood” that is the Sylvia II.
